Travel Advantage Network places third in Southern Maryland for raising funds for the Arthritis Foundation

Travel Advantage Network (TAN), a community leader in the fight against arthritis, raised more than $2,000, placing third in Anne Arundel County’s Arthritis Walk 2008. TAN employees are active supporters of several local and national charities, focusing on a different cause each month.

TAN became involved in supporting the Southern Maryland Arthritis Foundation when CEO Brad Callahan found out that one of his employees, Chantal Boyer has fibromyalgia, a form of arthritis. Chantal was recognized as the “Highest Individual Fundraiser on a Team” for the walk.

“Our TAN employees are constantly finding ways to reach out to our community to provide support to good causes,” said Callahan. “The Arthritis Foundation was a perfect match for our team, especially as one of our own, suffers from a form of arthritis. When we can rally around admirable causes such as this, we find a way to do it.”

Chantal participated in this year’s walk with her dog and several other TAN employees. To raise money, TAN employees participated in raffles and flower, craft and bake sales, and reached out to friends in the community to bring awareness and raise funds for the fight against arthritis.

TAN employees consistently reach out to local charities on a regular basis. Since January, they have raised and donated thousands of dollars to worthwhile organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Custom Hearts-Mended Little Hearts, Celebrating Special Children and Juvenile Alopecia Areata.
