Dial An Exchange Europe Appoint David Lilley As Their New Managing Director

February 14, 2008 by Timeshare News

Dial An Exchange Europe (DAEE) today confirmed that they have appointed David Lilley as their new Managing Director. He will commence his duties immediately.

Up until August 2007, Mr Lilley was Strategic Alliance Director for RCI Europe. Having been in sales, marketing and business development for close to fifteen years, including seven years at global brand American Express, David carries a reputation as an honest and dynamic individual; someone who is well respected and can call on a broad and diverse network to support his business endeavours.

The appointment of David Lilley sends out a strong message surrounding the ambitions of Dial An Exchange in Europe. The company, which has roots in Australia and has global reach through its licensee platform, has quickly become a major force within the European timeshare sector. Operating out of offices in Skipton, North Yorkshire the company now boasts some 40,000 enrolled members in Europe. Close to 26,000 of these members transacted with Dial An Exchange last year.

When asked for his thoughts on this new appointment owner & Chairman of DAE Europe, Philip Green enthused “I am delighted to have recruited David Lilley as our new Managing Director for Europe. I met him over three years ago and immediately liked him. David is someone who has always made time to speak to me and my staff at industry events – even though he worked for our larger competitor. Additionally, I have listened to David speak on a number of occasions and read some of his articles. His track record in business, his vision for the future of timeshare, the respect he commands as a human being and his commitment to providing owners with as much support as possible made him an excellent choice for us. We are greatly looking forward to seeing David take DAE in Europe to new heights”

During his time at RCI David Lilley worked hard on the consumer perception challenge and this is something he has continued to work on this since he left RCI. Commenting on his new appointment David said “When the opportunity came along to work for DAE I didn’t need much time to consider the role. I have always admired the service that DAE provides to owners and in recent weeks this view has only been enhanced. Dial An Exchange allows owners who have bought a poor week (in terms of trading power) with an opportunity to get some value back for a product they spent thousands of pounds on. I am certain that Dial An Exchange has significantly contributed to levels of owner satisfaction by offering such a flexible and competitive service. I don’t think we would see the same levels of owner satisfaction had it not been for their emergence and they should be commended for their role in timeshare. I intend to ensure this happens.”

Since leaving RCI David established a business called Lilo Media International with Charles Low. When asked what the future plans were for this business David answered “The role of Managing Director for Dial An Exchange also synergises very nicely with some of my own business interests. The two complement and do not conflict. Dial An Exchange is focused on delivering a quality and competitively priced exchange service. This will continue without distraction. Lilo Media International is a very different business. It is marketing, media and consultancy business with a multi-disciplined team who are self sufficient and independent of me. They can provide marketing services to any hospitality player or resort that needs it. Over the coming months you will see some of Lilo’s projects working very nicely indeed for Dial An Exchange. I am committed to helping grow the DAAE business and can promise that 2008 and 2009 will bring some interesting developments! ”
