Ernst & Young Names Deborah Linden Florida Real Estate & Construction Entrepreneur Of The Year

On June 22, Ernst & Young LLP awarded Deborah Linden, CEO of Island One Resorts, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 Award in the Florida Real Estate & Construction category. She was one of three finalists selected from a field of over 100 candidates from across the entire state of Florida.

“Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipients embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and determination necessary to achieve success,” said Mike Brennan, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program director for Florida. “Ernst & Young is proud of its history recognizing and supporting these outstanding leaders and their companies.”

Now in its 20th year, the award program recognizes outstanding entrepreneurial achievements and is one of the most prestigious business award programs in the world. The awards are judged on traits including risk taking, determination, company growth, product expansion, passion for the company and its people, creativity and community involvement.

Linden is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 national program. Recipients in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 18, 2006. The overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient is then considered for the world event.
