Glen Tanar Estate Wins Gold For Customer Service

The staff at Glen Tanar Estate have been recognised for their outstanding customer service skills by securing a Gold Service Achievement Award from Scottish Enterprise. The Deeside-based tourism business is a hot-spot for weddings, corporate events, holidaymakers and day trippers.

The Scottish Enterprise Service Achievement Awards represent excellence in tourism organisations for their commitment to customer service. Companies are assessed over a 13-month period to include business workshops, one-to-one interviews and visits from mystery shoppers and are given a rating at the end of the period.

“It is a great achievement for everyone at Glen Tanar Estate,” explains Fiona Martin, Sales Manger at Glen Tanar Estate. “Everyone working at Glen Tanar Estate is enthusiastic about what they do and we pride ourselves in going the extra step for our customers. From managing a wedding, which is one of the most important days in people’s lives, to corporate events and holiday accommodation, we make sure that we give the personal detail that is required.”

The Scottish Enterprise Service Achievement Awards identifies 12 key stages of delivering excellent customer service and participants are encouraged to look closely at their existing practices by working with customer feedback.

Glen Tanar Estate achieved the top award from Scottish Enterprise in this category. A total of 24 companies took part in the assessment programme.
