Annual Party Continues Corporate Tradition of Giving Back
Interval International, a leading global vacation exchange company, hosted its annual “Party With A Cause” during the recent American Resort Development Association’s (ARDA) 2007 Convention & Exposition in Orlando, raising $35,000 for the ARDA International Foundation (AIF), while partygoers danced the night away to the music of REO Speedwagon.
Now a key ARDA Convention event each year featuring world-class entertainment and lively crowds, the party has raised more than $175,000 in the five years it has served as a fundraiser for AIF. In addition to Interval, this year’s “Party With A Cause” was supported by a number of sponsors, including Marriott Vacation Club International, Hertz, Amadeus, Bank of America, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Starwood Vacation Ownership, AIG Travel Guard, iBAHN, and Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo. Interval first began sponsoring its annual party during the 1993 ARDA Convention in Miami Beach.
“The many contributions that Interval International has made to ARDA and ARDA’s International Foundation over the years is generous and noteworthy, and we are pleased to now have more funding for professional development and educational programs and research,” said Howard C. Nusbaum, ARDA’s president and CEO.
“We’re delighted to bring so many people together for such a worthwhile cause,” noted Craig M. Nash, chairman and chief executive officer of Interval International. “AIF’s efforts to raise awareness in both the education and research arenas reinforce the tremendous success the vacation ownership industry enjoys and gives us many reasons to celebrate. We thank everyone who attended this year’s Party With A Cause and look forward to another great event next year.”
