Perspective Magazine Wins Innovative Marketing Award At OTE European Timeshare Business Forum 2007 in Portugal.

Launched just two years before at the same event in Prague, this year saw the hard work of the Perspective Magazine team recognized by around 400 representatives of the European Timeshare Industry at the OTE10 Forum in the Algarve last week.
The award was humbly accepted by the creators of the independent publication, Paul & Sharon Mattimoe, who have grown their small business of four years ago into a globally recognized suite of products and services; Perspective Magazine, Timeshare Staff Network, Timeshare Suppliers Guide and The Timeshare Blog news site.
Sharon Mattimoe commented “We know our regular advertisers like what we do, but to have a large proportion of the European Industry also vote for us, lets us know that we are on the right track for the future and delivering what we set out to deliver – a credible independently global B2B industry magazine. We are delighted to have won the Innovative Marketing Award for 2007 and very much thank OTE and all its members for their support.”
Perspective Magazine has grown from its first issue in November 2005 with a circulation of 300, to a worldwide circulation of over 5,200 (with thousands more reading the online version) in just under two years.
It’s success says Paul Mattimoe, President & CEO of Perspective International Ltd is largely accredited to the largest of brands and leading developers supporting an independent publication right from the early days when it was very rough around the edges, which as well as providing content also helped attract long term advertisers. It is because of this that earlier this year they launched the Perspective Rewards Loyalty Program, making them the only industry publication to offer significant gifts and rewards to its loyal advertisers as well as offering more coverage for the money than any other publication.
In the past six months, the publication has also managed to extend outside of the timeshare industry into other forms of leisure property and has also attracted editorials from some of the most exclusive hotels around the world and other travel related companies such as business class only premium airlines, residential cruise ships and more.
“This is only the beginning though” says Paul Mattimoe as he explains that the start of 2008 sees the beginning of a long expansion campaign under the newly re-branded umbrella of Perspective International Ltd. Without giving too much away, he did divulge that the January 2008 edition alone will include an exclusive interview with world renowned PR & Media Guru Max Clifford, another exclusive interview with Stephen Attenborough, CEO of Virgin Galactic including the future prospect of space tourism and a first hand account of the great work that the charity Christel House do around the world as they break ground on a new school for under privileged children in South Africa. It was also added that they are covering no less than 8 industry conventions throughout Europe, Middle East, Australia, Asia and USA in the coming year.
With a start like that, it may take a lot of work to keep up the momentum throughout the year, but the husband and wife team just smiled and said “We’re very excited about a lot of things planned for 2008, not just the magazine – watch this space!”
