Shell Vacations’ Legacy Resort Names Assistant General Manager

Shell Vacations Hospitality has recently announced the promotion of Steve Norris to Assistant General Manager of The Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.
 

Norris assists General Manager Michele Caminidi with overall resort operations of the 328-key vacation ownership property, developed by Shell Vacations. He is directly responsible for overseeing employees in Security, Engineering, Landscaping, Housekeeping and Fitness & Activities departments.

 

“Steve has been an integral part of The Legacy’s success since prior to its opening in 1999,” says Caminidi. His understanding of resort-wide operations, combined with the respect of the entire staff, made him the ideal employee for this important position.”
 

During his eight years with The Legacy, Norris has served as Security Manager and Director Of Security & Safety, responsible for providing a safe environment for employees, owners and guests. Many of the policies, procedures, training and standards he put in place at The Legacy have been implemented company wide. Norris is a Certified Lodging Security Director, Red Cross Instructor and has been the Chairperson of the Safety Committee since the resort’s opening.
 

Prior to his association with Shell Vacations Hospitality, The Legacy’s management firm, Norris had over a dozen years experience in Security/Loss Prevention management for the Kansas City Marriott Plaza, The Ritz-Carlton and Adams Mark Hotel in Kansas City, the Ritz-Carlton Aspen and the Crown Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta. He earned BA degrees in history and Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
 

Developed by Shell Vacations, the 280-acre Legacy Golf Resort is surrounded by an 18-hole championship golf course, with meeting rooms, restaurant and lounge and an oasis of recreational amenities. Each of the one- and two-bedroom condominiums has a private patio or balcony with scenic views of the surrounding mountains or lushly landscaped courtyards. The resort’s championship golf course, designed by Phoenix-based course architect Gary Panks, is the focal point of the community.
