Spring Is Coming To Southwest Montana Meriwether Ranch Breaks Ground On The Lodge

Spring is coming to Southwest Montana and ground has been broken for the lodge at Meriwether Ranch, located on the legendary Big Hole River outside of Melrose, Montana halfway between Butte and Dillon. Meriwether Ranch, the Nation’s First Private Residence Club for the Outdoorsman, is 724 acres of a one-of-a-kind of destination located on the legendary Big Hole River. Nestled between the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and the wide wonder of the Big Hole Valley, Meriwether Ranch is the dream project of outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists Dave and Emilie Ellingson (Lincoln NE).

The 4,000 sq. ft. Lodge at Meriwether Ranch will offer access to amenities and rental of special equipment to owners of both fractional and whole ownership homes, as well as those who select to build on custom home sites. The Lodge is designed to be the central gathering place on the Ranch. A concierge will help book various activities from tee times to fishing and hunting excursions, as well as coordinate rental of gear ranging from bird-watching binoculars to ATVs. The Lodge will also have a professional kitchen for entertaining and cooking classes.

As the snow melts in the region, owners also have access to the nearby Canyon Creek Guest Ranch (www.canyoncreekguestranch.com) a breathtaking and remote spot with cabins at about 7000 feet, surrounded by the area’s tallest mountains.

The idyllic property is home to deer, fox, moose, elk, otters, beaver, osprey, bald eagles, ducks, grouse, geese, sandhill cranes and pronghorn antelope. The Big Hole River is known for its brook, cutthroat, and brown trout. It also has the only native run of arctic grayling in the lower 48.

Meriwether Ranch offers fully-deeded partial interests in luxurious, fully-furnished homes at prices beginning at $148,000. Full acre custom home sites are also available.
