Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN) today announced that its Exchange & Rentals business unit, the European leader in exclusive marketing of independent holiday accommodation, has agreed to acquire Hoseasons Holdings Ltd, one of the UK’s most renowned holiday brands, from HgCapital and a number of individual parties.
The acquisition price is approximately $60 million, net of estimated cash acquired. The transaction is subject to the consent of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), which the companies hope to obtain before the end of the first quarter. Wyndham Worldwide expects this acquisition to be accretive in 2011.
Hoseasons, with a proud and distinguished 65-year heritage, is one of the best-known brand names in UK tourism. The company provides a wide range of holiday offerings in over 15,000 lodges, cottages, villas, caravans and boats across seven European countries.
Wyndham’s European rentals business is the leading provider in exclusive marketing of independent holiday accommodation across the continent and has many of Europe’s best-known holiday brands including English Country Cottages, Scottish Country Cottages, cottages4you, Welcome Cottages, Chez Nous and Canvas Holidays in the UK, and Landal GreenParks, Novasol, Dansommer and Cuendet across Northern, Central and Southern Europe. RCI TV Goes Public - Revolutionary Network Now Live And Interactive To All Consumers On RCI.com

World’s largest vacation exchange company continues to expand RCI TV to promote affiliated resorts and the vacation ownership industry
RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), today announced that RCI TV, its innovative web-based television network that until now was exclusive for RCI subscribing members, is live and available to all consumers on RCI.com. This new accessibility allows the general public to view educational and entertaining “Resort Showcase” and “Destination” channels along with other information dedicated to increasing timeshare industry awareness and promoting the benefits of vacation ownership. Through the Resort Showcase channel, prospective purchasers can also link directly to selected developers’ websites for more information or a chance to visit resorts.

IFA Hotels & Resorts (IFA HR) announced today the launch of three new Thai-based Private Residence Clubs: The Heights Private Residence Club in Phuket, Northpoint Private Residence Club in Pattaya and The River Private Residence Club in Bangkok. Club Mahindra Lake Forest is located in Yercaud in the hills above Salem at an altitude of 1,600 meters. The resort, which is a short walk from Lake Forest at the town’s center, was originally a British bungalow dating back to the 1800s. Situated in the midst of a coffee estate, Yercaud is just 200 kilometers from Bangalore and 340 kilometers from Chennai, with a network of highways connecting these cities to Salem.
Club Mahindra Lake Forest
Club Mahindra Tusker Trails is located in Thekkady, in Kerala, and offers the ultimate getaway for travelers looking for a tranquil holiday. Six Resorts In China Join RCI Portfolio

World’s largest vacation exchange company continues to expand its global footprint
RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), today announced the addition of six new affiliates in China to its worldwide network. This record signing brings RCI’s presence in China to an impressive 24 affiliated resorts.

RCI’s inbound guests to resorts in China have more than doubled since 2004. Within the same time period, outbound Chinese members to affiliated RCI resorts worldwide have increased more than fourfold.

Beijing BBMG BaDaLing Hot Spring Resort in Beijing, is surrounded by the scenic Badaling Great Wall, Longqing Gorge, Wild Duck Lake, Ancient Cliff Estate, Yudu Mountain, Shinjinglong Skiing Court and Songshan virgin forest natural reserve. The 377-room resort has nine different room types including luxury suites and apartments. The resort offers an indoor swimming pool, badminton and tennis courts, and a natural hot spring. Covering an area of 6,000 square-meters, the natural hot spring provides members with over 20 types of hydrotherapy spa baths.
Beijing BBMG BaDaLing Hot Spring Resort
Sunshine Water World Resort in Xiaotangshan is part of the Beijing Suncity project, the first 3-generation living concept in Beijing. Beijing Suncity will consist of two 4-star resorts, two 3-star resorts, a shopping center, two treatment centers, a spa, five restaurants and a cultural center. Located in Xiaotangshan, a well-known spa area, it features hot springs and offers Chinese treatments. Nearby attractions include the Great Wall, Ming Tomb and JiuLong amusement park. Sunshine Water World Resort is part of the Beijing Suncity Vacation Club.
LuGuHu Holiday Inn in Sichuan is located at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan. It is right near the water’s edge on the banks of the Lugu Lake, a 58.8 square-meter body of water located 2,690 meters above sea level. The property has been built in a unique Mosuo architectural style and offers members the choice of a variety of rooms including luxury suites and villas. Ramada Plaza Hotel Yantai in Yantai, Shandong, is situated in the city center and is close to Yantai Beach. It offers easy access to University City and is only 10 kilometers from the Laishan International Airport. Nearby attractions include Phoenix Mountain, Chuangyu Wine Culture Museum, Yantai Mountain Park and Nanshan Zoo.
Ramada Hotel Wuxi in Wuxi is conveniently located in Wuxi Commercial and the shopping center, just 10 minutes from the railway station. RCI Welcomes Two New Turkish Resorts To Its Worldwide Network Of Affiliated Resorts

RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), announced two new resort affiliations in the popular destination of Turkey.
The new resort affiliates, Salutaris Thermal Resort and Kartas Thermal & Spa Resort, will offer RCI members relaxing spa-based vacation opportinities.

Salutaris Thermal Resort in Omerli sits in the mountainous province of Afyon, inland from the Aegean coast and 250 kilometres south-west of Ankara. Afyon itself is known for its many historic sites, including the ruins of a fortress, the Great Mosque, the 13th century Alti Göz Bridge and the statue of Hamm’s symbolic white elephant.
Built by Sayez Turizm, the resort is due to open in 2010. When completed, Salutaris Thermal Resort is set to become one of Europe’s largest thermal holiday villages, where guests can enjoy on-site facilities and amenities including a Turkish hamam, sauna, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, thermal pools, a fitness centre and spa. The property comprises 204 two-bedroom units with fully-fitted kitchens, air-conditioning and whirlpool baths.
Prices haven’t been fully finalised but for a period of 29 years vacation ownership should range from €6,000 to €10,000 per week.
Kartas Thermal & Spa Resort was developed by Kartas Turizm and is due to open in October 2009 in the Cavlak area of Bogazliyan, Yozgat, only 50 kilometres away from the city of Kayseri which is renowned for its historical monuments and culinary specialties. Cappadocia is another nearby destination offering unique geological, historic and cultural features. Recreation options in the area include trekking, rafting and skiing, in addition to visiting Goreme National Park, which is famed for its fairy chimney rock formations.
The resort offers relaxation after a busy day of activity. Guests can unwind in one of the indoor or outdoor pools, sauna or fitness centre. Accommodation ranges from hotel rooms to one- and two-bedroom units sleeping up to six people. All have air conditioning and whirlpool baths, and with the exception of the hotel rooms, all have partial kitchens with freezer, microwave and electric hobs.
Prices haven’t been fully finalised but for a period of 5, 10 and 20 years vacation ownership should range from as low as €2,000 to €8,000 per week.

Finland’s Holiday Club Naantali Residence Joins The RCI Network Of Affiliated Resorts

Holiday Club Resorts (HCR) has announced that Holiday Club Naantali Residence in Naantali, Finland, has affiliated with RCI, the worldwide leader in vacation exchange.
Opened in May this year, Holiday Club Naantali Residence has 40 high-quality studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, all with sea views, and is located next to Naantali Spa, one of the Nordic countries’ leading holiday and conference centres. The complex attracts 300,000 visitors a year and has received many accolades from the hospitality industry, including being named twice in the world’s 100 best spas and five times as the meeting hotel of the year in Finland – most recently this year.
Holiday Club Naantali Residence is the 21st timeshare resort to be launched by HCR and is set to become its flagship development. Vesa Tengman, HCR’s CEO, said he expects a strong demand from Swedish, as well as Finnish buyers. Adding that the company will be opening a new sales office at the property and recruiting 25 new sales and marketing staff.
